ACREAGE ESTATE RENO
Fall 2020
This project appeared to be meticulously well maintained, however once we started, the lack of regular maintenance showed. Mold, asbestos, rodents and insects pushed this reno back to stud. The home was then reinforced where water damage had rotted structure, and an engineered beams were installed to support additional loads associated with sub par roofing and a modern kitchen with a massive granite countertop. It’s a great example of our commitment to delivering quality development projects and seeing it through from start to finish despite complications in order to ensure full client satisfaction.
MID CENTURY MODERN
December 2020
Grain & Current renovated a residential bathroom that had not been updated since initial construction. Over time, the floor had slumped and drywall rotted where leaks had gone undetected. With inadequate ventilation in the space this was a primer for mold and mildew settling in. After learning of our clients pre-existing health concerns we had to be very strict about the materials and footprint of our work. Our client was interested in an economically and environmentally sustainable outcome, and we did everything to respect these wishes.

Following a series of issues with a capital crunch, aging infrastructure and problem tenants, we worked closely with our clients to make strategic changes. Our work is on display in this lovely building where our renovated suites are used as showcases.
